Earnie Taft
Fiddle Player & Musician

Hi.  My name is Earnie Taft.  Being Texas born, I grew up in Fort Worth and worked a career in Dallas.  I took up the fiddle while I was in college in the late 1960’s when I acquired an old family violin.

Through the years I fiddled with a number of great local musicians encompassing several genres from bluegrass and country, to Old-Timey and Irish.  However, I was always drawn to those old-time fiddle tunes that seemed to best fit the fingers of this old, self-taught fiddler.

As a sample of the type of music I play, I performed with the Lone Star String Band back in 2018 in a 1-hr stage show at the Allen Public Library in Allen, Texas. A good sampling of "Rural" tunes and songs, and a lot of fun. Presented here for your entertainment. Thanks for visiting.

I also help out my good friend, Shaun Young, with his music in his   KelticDead Music initiative. His mission with the KelticDead Music is to present Folk-Celtic formatted tunes and songs that are " in the traditions of  " Celtic, Folk, Americana, and Sea Faring music.

I help him assemble his KDM CD albums there on his site featuring that style of music. Visit www.KelticDead.com/albums .   It's all fun.
